The best investor in U.S. history is a name you’ve probably never heard. Henrietta (Hetty) Green outwitted the panic-prone markets of the Gilded Age and quietly built one of the largest fortunes in America.

Last year, CFE explored her trailblazing financial career with a virtual program: An Introduction to the Queen of Wall Street. In this follow-up program, we’ll take a closer look at the values and virtues that defined her legacy.

Though she was known for her frugality and independence, Hetty’s beliefs inspired quiet acts of philanthropy that often went unnoticed. When her last remaining heir, Sylvia Green Wilks, passed away in 1951, her immense wealth passed on as quietly as it was amassed.

Join us on September 10 as financial historian and author, Mark Higgins, CFA, CFP, and SVP of Index Fund Advisors, returns, accompanied by Bethany Bengtson, Associate Director and Head of Platform Strategy at Publicis Media, for a closer look at Hetty Green’s lasting influence.
