Join us for a very special dinner program – our first one in nearly two years! We will continue celebrating our 40th anniversary, a milestone reached in 2020.

Our program will feature a conversation between Linda Coberly, Chicago Managing Partner of Winston & Strawn LLP, and CFE President Marie Winters about how professionals can use their skills to drive change in their communities.

The conversation will focus on Linda's experiences as an advocate for the Equal Rights Amendment -- both nationally and here in Illinois, where the legislature finally ratified the ERA in 2018 -- as well as the June 2021 U.S. Supreme Court victory she and her colleagues secured for college athletes against the NCAA.

Please register as space is limited to the first 100 registrants!
Per state and Chicago mandates, attendees are required to wear masks inside the venue regardless of vaccination status. Masks may be removed to eat and drink.

Linda Coberly chairs Winston & Strawn’s Appellate & Critical Motions Practice and serves as managing partner of the firm’s oldest and largest office.  She has argued nearly 50 appeals—spanning eight different federal circuits, as well as state appellate and supreme courts across the country—and has served as “appellate lawyer at trial” in courts on both coasts.  She has particular expertise in securities and financial fraud cases, product liability suits, administrative law, constitutional law, and class actions.  She provides advice on strategic legal issues at all stages of litigation, informed by her time as a clerk for Judge Douglas H. Ginsburg of the D.C. Circuit and Justice Stephen G. Breyer of the U.S. Supreme Court.  Ms. Coberly serves on the boards of the United Way of Metro Chicago, Heartland Alliance for Human Needs and Human Rights, and Chicago’s Goodman Theatre.  She is also the Chair of the Legal Task Force of the national ERA Coalition and speaks and writes widely about the Equal Rights Amendment.  She is a member of the American Law Institute and the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers.  She received an A.B. from Princeton and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
