Julie Howard Bio: In October 2019, Navigant was sold to Veritas Capital and merged with Guidehouse, a Veritas capital portfolio company. Navigant was a global, specialized professional services firm that helped clients take control of their future. With a focus on markets and clients facing transformational change and significant regulatory or legal pressures, Navigant provided advisory, consulting, outsourcing and technology/analytics services to clients primarily in the healthcare, financial services and energy industries.
As Chairman and CEO, Ms. Howard was responsible for the development and implementation of the Company’s long-term strategy and effective prioritization of resources to realize value for all stakeholders. Her tenure as CEO from March 2012 to October 2019, and Chairman from March 2014 to October 2019, was marked by significant business transformation and enhanced shareholder value.
Prior to becoming CEO, Ms. Howard served as President beginning in
2006 and Chief Operating Officer beginning in 2003. As President and Chief Operating Officer she was responsible for the overall management of the Company’s operations including global consulting services as well as strategic planning, marketing, sales and human resources.
Ms. Howard has over 30 years of professional services experience. Her tenure with Navigant began in 1998 following the acquisition of her former employer, Peterson Consulting.
She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. She continued her education via completion of several Harvard Business School Executive Education programs, with a focus in Finance and Management.
Ms. Howard serves on the Board of Directors for InnerWorkings, ManpowerGroup, Sleep Number, and is a member of the Medical Center Board for Lurie Children’s Hospital. She has formerly served on the Board of Kemper Corporation.
