A Message from the President...

CFE at 35: Celebrating Women, Success and Significance

Sara HaysAs we build upon CFE’s 35 year legacy and look forward to the coming years, the CFE board is engaged in a strategic planning process to support our new mission and align our organizational activities and initiatives around 3 objectives:

- The CFE Brand: CFE’s brand is synonymous with successful and significant women financial leaders.

- The CFE Community: Members view CFE as an important community, professionally and personally.

- CFE as a Resource: CFE provides an integrated offering of professional, social and networking events with content that members see as critically relevant to their needs.

Supporting each of these objectives are specific goals, strategies and annual measures to chart our progress. Still a work in progress, we want to ensure we have as much member input as possible in the planning process. Indeed, CFE’s strength and significance as an organization relies entirely on our members and the extent of member engagement, certainly by attending events such as our bi-monthly dinners, book discussions and other programs, but more importantly by being an active member of our CFE community through service on a committee or task force.

Focusing specifically on our third objective regarding the resources offered by CFE, please consider the following:

- Is the content currently being offered by CFE critically relevant to your needs?

- What additional program offerings would you be of specific interest to you at this point in your career?

- What is the right mix of professional and personal content?

As an engaged member of the CFE community, please allow your voice to be heard and share your ideas and suggestions with me or any other CFE board member or committee chair. All suggestions will be considered as we finalize our plan. Thanks for your input and for being an engaged member of the CFE community.

Sara Hays
2015 President

Sponsor a Candidate for CFE!

It's always a good time to think about bringing new, qualified members into CFE. In addition to the Board's recently launched program to proactively identify and recruit executive level women in finance, the organization relies on its membership to nominate candidates. We heard your feedback, and have streamlined the process and guidelines for nominating candidates over the past several years, making it simpler than ever to do so.

You can find membership guidelines, the nomination procedures and any necessary forms on the CFE website at "Nominate a New Member" under the Membership pull-down menu, or by clicking here.
